Pediatrician’s Corner: Editorial Standards & Medical Disclosure

How We Work

Editorial Standards & Medical Disclosure

How ChildBloom’s recommendations are researched, reviewed, and kept honest — and how this site is funded.

Who writes and reviews our content

All product recommendations and medical guidance on ChildBloom are reviewed by the ChildBloom Pediatric Panel, a board-certified pediatrician. Articles are researched against primary pediatric sources including the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Our review process

  • Screen every product against current safety guidance and recall databases
  • Evaluate real-world usability, not just spec sheets
  • Cite the evidence behind each recommendation
  • Update guides when guidance or products change

Medical disclaimer

The content on ChildBloom is for general educational purposes only and is not a substitute for personalized medical advice from your own pediatrician. Always consult your child’s doctor about your specific situation, especially for sleep, feeding, or medical concerns.

How we’re funded (affiliate disclosure)

ChildBloom participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates program. If you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions never influence our rankings or recommendations — our process is the same regardless of whether a product is affiliated.

  • Affiliate links are marked where practical
  • Commissions fund the site; they do not buy placement
  • We may also use the Hostinger Amazon Affiliate plugin to display product images and current prices

Common questions

Do brands pay to be featured?

No. Placement and rankings are determined by our pediatric review process, not by payment.

Do you test every product yourself?

We combine hands-on use, manufacturer safety data, and pediatric guidelines. Where we rely on a manufacturer or third-party source, we say so.

How do I know a link is affiliated?

Affiliate links may carry a disclosure note, and our Affiliate Disclosure page explains the relationship in full.

Questions about our standards?

We’re happy to clarify how any recommendation was made.
